Welcome
Welcome to Homebrew Korea!!! Given the number of emails I have been getting through my old blog, I decided to try and make it easier for everyone to share their homebrewing experience in Korea. I set up a forum for people to discuss their problems, recipes, where to buy equipment, etc. while living and brewing in S. Korea.
I hope that you find the site helpful. If you have any suggestions or recommedations, please shoot me an email: homebrewkorea@gmail.com.
Cheers everyone. Happy brewing!!
Rob

Rob,
Nice blog. I just moved to Korea about 7 months ago and have been eager to continue home brewing. I live near Busan and was wondering if you knew of any shops in the area where I could pick up supplies and equipment. I’m mostly lacking ingredients……
Thanks,
Keegan
I live just south of Seoul, so not sure what’s down there. I’m pretty sure that the main places to get things are http://www.beerschool.co.kr and http://www.goodbeer.co.kr. If ordering from BeerSchool, be sure to check out the 10% discount here. Head over to the Homebrew Korea Community Forums and feel free to post your questions to masses!! Glad you enjoy the blog. Happy brewing!!
Hi, there. I’m a Canadian homebrewer returning to Seoul, and I was very interested to see your site and some of the sites you link to. One thing I didn’t see was a supplier for glass carboys. Have you seen any out there? Looking forward to more great info from your site. Cheers!
I haven’t ordered any carboys myself, but there are some available. I know they can be found on WineKit Korea and on GMarket.
Rob,
Interesting Blog !
I am based in Jeju and looking for Korean importers of beer but cannot find any in this island and nothing in internet. Do you know if there is any well known importers in Seoul ?
Thanks and cheers
@Boris de Mesones
I know of one guy whom imports Alley Kat. It’s a pretty good pale ale from western Canada. It’s available all over Gyeonngi-do and Seoul. Their website is http://www.kapa.co.kr.
@Keegan
Keegan,
I live in Busan too. I just got here in March. I’m looking to start some home brewing as well. Did you have any luck? Perhaps we can meet up and start making some real beers.
Hi! You’ve made the right decision…Stop drinking garbage beer and make your own! Check out the Community Forums for a ton of information about brewing in Korea.
