Don't order from JWmall.co.kr
  • Tried to buy this as a secondary fermenter:

On the phone my coworker specifically asked if it had a hole in the lid for a lock.

Not only does it not have a hole in the lid, the plastic is completely bendable, and it's essentially a big trash can. We called back and told him that you can't make beer in this and he said that you don't need a tight lock for primary fermentation. What? Luckily these people don't have much equipment anyway (only called them because every friggin webiste is having a shortage) because I really don't appreciate having smoke blown up my ass.
  • Ahh shit....sorry dude. Is that the link I gave ya? I had never bought from them, I just did a quick Naver search.

Absolutely not your fault man. There's probably a reason I've never seen this guy recommended by anyone else. He is giving our money back, but with me paying 4,000 won in shipping both ways. Sigh...I'm probably not going to be able to do secondary now. No point because my bottling is the 14th anyway. Goddamned shortages.
  • Two things:

One: If you're going to use plastic as a primary, it must be "food grade." I've no idea how to go about asking that in Korean.

Two: NEVER use plastic as a secondary! Your beer has a good chance of becoming oxidized (it will taste like moldy cardboard). Please trust me on this.
