All of us being homebrewers, I guess that we all like to cook.
What about proposing a recipe that we usually like to cook, and then trying to pair it with a beer?
I'm sure we'd all love to hear from your own recipes.
Well, for our first try in this concept, I'd like to offer you one of my family's favorite:
The 4 Peppers Shrimps Sauté
for 4 persons
Ingredients:
- Olive oil
- 1 or 2 peppers of each color (green, yellow, orange, red)
- 40 or more shrimps (depending on your hunger, in my Family, my Dad would eat half of that alone and ask for more
- 1/2 a Red onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Ground black pepper
Preparation:
Approx 30~35mn
- Cut the peppers in half, remove the seeds (these stuffs are horrible for digestion).
Cut them in not too thin slices. Do the same for the half onion.
- Cut the shrimps heads and take their shells off (if not already done)
- Chop the garlic thin
- Put the olive oil, peppers slices, onion slices and garlic in the pan.
Let it caramelize at low fire until the taste turns a bit sweet.
- Spread ground pepper on it (to your taste)
- Add the shrimps, let it cook until the shrimps are done (tender)
Serve with some bread aside, chopsticks or a fork, and a beer...
But which ?
