You can also replace sugar by some good syrup (be careful to have a really low amount of chemical and to boil it before to put it in the bottle) or by some pure honey (same here, boil it, or pasteurize it on your oven in a pan at 65 celcius for 2 hours and half).

I really cannot tell you how many times I have been online researching priming sugars when I thought "fuck, I would like to buy some tiffany earrings or an ed hardy bag right now!".

Whether you be man or machine, I thank you, pandora0816.

What a douche bag.
I suppose you have to give him/her a nod for trying to get creative with the spamming.

Hahaha....Ya, that's not your everyday spam! A solid couple of sentences of valid information and then a couple links. A lot of work must have gone into that! Was it worth the time?? Hahahaa....oh you fucking spammers kill me!!

pandora0816: DO NOT POST SPAM LINKS IN THIS FORUM. You have been warned.

Speaking from some experience (I used to work in internet marketing), it is still worth it to the spammer until you actually delete your post. They didn't post on here thinking anyone would click the link, they posted the link so that way people who search for the terms "tiffany earrings" and "ed hardy bags" on search engines will find their website. The way search engines work is they look for the number of links a website has and the text used in making the link to determine what search terms to associate with it. Actually, shawn helped the spammer out by quoting his post :D (twice the number of links).

So what's the solution? Delete the link altogether. Or you can alter the posts to some really obscure link text like "spammer who sucks donkey balls" so when you search for that you will find his website. This still technically helps his website though since search engines also look at number of links. I highly suggest you delete all the links.

I have to disagree. I used DME back in the day and then switched to table sugar because of the cost, availability and general ease of use. The 2 or so grams per bottle that is needed to carb your beer isn't enough to change the flavor. Aside from that, when calculating how much to use (anywhere from 100-150 grams depending on style, residual c02, etc) for your 5 gallon batch, do make sure to select what kind of sugar you are using. DME, cane sugar, corn sugar all have different yields so you could run into an issue there.

For what it's worth, I'm a IPA guy and I use somewhere in the neighbor hood of 130-140 grams and 90% of the time, it works every time :). JK, I've probably bottled over 1000 beers and have never had a bottle bomb or something under carbonated. Bottling in PET plastic, however, was a different story. Those threads just don't have the same grip as the caps! When you sleep, a PET bottle letting loose sounds a lot like a shotgun!

I'm with you. I used to use DME as well but have permanently switched to table sugar just because it's so easy. I have tried to find corn sugar in Korea but came up unsuccessful anyway.
